A Shoot with Rustic Grace
Back in February I joined a Facebook page for vendors putting on styled wedding photo shoots. I figured this would be a fun way to get some professional pictures of my work and meet some awesome leaders of the industry in the meantime. Well, not long after joining I got in touch with Monique, head photographer over at Rustic Grace Photo Co. She was getting ready to put on a boho/southwestern styled wedding photo shoot and wanted to know if I'd like to get involved for florals. My response? ABSOLUTELY!
Don't get me wong, I love love love my blush, and neutral, and greenery palette brides, BUT theres just something exciting about pushing yourself and working outside of your comfort zone to create something completely different and amazing! Now, for those of you who have never participated in a styled shoot before let me just tell you, they are not for the faint of heart. Monique was SO incredible planning this day! She has such attention for every little single detail! You may think you've been in weddings that went off without a hitch before, but y'all, she thought of everything! And not one minute detail slipped through the cracks! That's not to say the process wasn't stressful though.
When I say there were HUNDREDS of messages between she and I (and I can only assume, the other vendors too) during this process, I mean it. Lots of sleepless nights, cancellations, target runs, blood, sweat, and tears later (really, cacti are prickly, y'all!) the day was finally here. And what a long day it was, but everything was so worth it! There's nothing quite as satisfying as seeing the cumulation of so many amazing people's work all coming together to create something beautiful. And after over a month of planning and preparing for every little thing to be perfect, thats exactly what it was. So please enjoy these pictures from one of the craziest shoots I've ever had the privilege of being involved in. And if you're in need of a vendor for an upcomming wedding, look no further! Every single person that was a part of this shoot was amazing and I can't wait till I have the chance to work with them again!
